Welcome! I’m so happy to have you here!

I am a former upper elementary teacher turned online teacher, homeschool mommy, Teachers Pay Teachers Author, Clean Beauty fanatic…basically all the things. OH and I can’t forget.. this mama is fueled by coffee! 

If you would have asked me on my first day of teaching, where do you see yourself in 20 years? I would have never, ever said any of the things above! I was going to teach until I reached retirement! 

Well… times changed, babies came along, and my focus for myself and my family changed…

Now as a homeschooling mom, I am constantly thinking of ways to help my son enjoy learning at home, still share my love of teaching with others, and try to make a contribution to our home income… No easy task!

When I was in the classroom, it was my goal from day one to create an atmosphere that children enjoyed and would remember. I was that teacher who would “forget to pick up the reading textbook” from the book room each year. Instead, I would incorporate research projects, hands-on learning activities,  foldables, novel studies, the list could go on and on.

 Nineteen years later and I am still receiving emails and messages from students who have  graduated from high school and college saying, “Mrs. Wright, I’ll never forget that project when we…”. 

That’s when it hit me! I needed to share these ideas with other teachers. I know how busy the day of a teacher can be, the endless meetings, paperwork, conferences… who honestly has the time to create these projects? 

That’s when Lessons Over Coffee was born! 

I want this to be a place where you find ideas for your classroom, your homeschool room, for your personal self care (because ALL Teachers and Moms need to find ways to recharge), and I’ll even throw in some of my coupon/budget saving ideas.
